Focus On: Fyrinnae Robot Takeover

Focus On is a work in progress. Have you ever talked yourself out of buying a product because the color was too odd, and you wondered how often you would really be able to use it? Or, you know those colors you LOVE because of some hidden versatility that you never imagined when you bought it? I do that ALL of the time. In the interests of loving what I HAVE, and learning its limitations, rather than relying on the influx of new colors, I will be doing this post every Saturday, focusing on a new color from my collection, with examples of past work, ideas for other uses. Please feel free to suggest colors you wish to see, or uses for the ones listed, or let me know what your favorites are for future posts.

This is a luscious, steely blue-grey, with multicolored sparkles(not visible in swatch).  Shown here, over Pixie Epoxy, it appears much more blue, and the sparkles are lost, mostly.

Over a black base, use it between a shimmery black crease, and a frosty silver, for contouring and a luxurious shimmer and depth

Lightly blend into the crease to turn it into a soft blue-gray that will set off brighter pastels.

Apply more richly in the crease to bring out the deep blue base, and pair with cool taupes, and vibrant oranges for a neutral look that will set off blue or gray eyes, but work with any skin undertone. (the full face shows the color contrasts a little better than the closeups, i think.  I was still learning my new camera when I took these)

Apply over a blue base to turn it into a beautiful steel blue color
