Focus On: Fyrinnae La Noche

Focus On is a work in progress. Have you ever talked yourself out of buying a product because the color was too odd, and you wondered how often you would really be able to use it? Or, you know those colors you LOVE because of some hidden versatility that you never imagined when you bought it? I do that ALL of the time. In the interests of loving what I HAVE, and learning its limitations, rather than relying on the influx of new colors, I will be doing this post every Saturday, focusing on a new color from my collection, with examples of past work, ideas for other uses. Please feel free to suggest colors you wish to see, or uses for the ones listed, or let me know what your favorites are for future posts.

La Noche is a rich, deep blue.  There’s almost a deep steel gray note to it, but it’s very subtle.  It is darker than MAC Freshwater, or UD Radium or Jinx.  In a pinch, you could probably substitute those lighter, bright blues.  It has a sheen to the finish, but not really a frost or shimmer.

Pair with a  bright robins egg blue to bring out the turquoise notes in the lighter color.

Or pair with true-blues to emphasize the steel gray in La Noche.

Pair in the outer corner with turquoises and violets to help soften the two very different colors.

La Noche is nice, isn’t it? It’s deep enough to be more accessible if you’re intimidated by blue eyeshadow, but the color is still beautiful and vibrant!
