Review: Fusion Lip Infatuation in In the Flesh

Fusion beauty is one of those brands I’ve never really bothered with, since I rarely wear the work safe colors, and I don’t need the anti-aging and lip plumping products that seem to form most of their lineup.  $29 is VERY expensive for a product that isn’t absolutely necessary.   A bit back, I cashed in some of the points I had at sephora for a fusion set, and gave it a try, though.  In the Flesh is a beautiful creamy nude.  There’s a touch of rose to it, but it looks like  more of a mauve or brown to me.  It has a velvety smooth  finish with no shimmer.  It feels pretty moisturizing to me, but it doesn’t really affect the lips for long, once it has worn off.  The initial gloss fades fairly fast, but it is still visible on my lips after 4 hours.  It DOES seem to smooth my lips a bit, though I wouldn’t say the effect is really noticeable.

I got even better wear out of it layered under another lipstick(It looks BEAUTIFUL over MUFE Rouge Artist Intense #18 for a nude coral).  Be forewarned though-that seemed to affect the way it absorbed into the lips. It didn’t seem to plump, over the lipstick, and it  seemed to negate the moisturizing feeling.

It has a fairly thick texture, and one dip of the wand should get you through the application. There’s a nice pigmentation level, and while the natural lip color peeks through, the overall tone is smoothed, and glossy.

This is it over a pearly coral lipstick.

Ugh, you are soooo lucky to have such full lips! Mine are so thin. Anyhow, the last picture is gorgeous! Is there a tutorial for the eye look? (:

The eye look was just done yesterday. It was very simple, and I didn’t take tutorial pictures. I may do something similar in the future though, for tutorial! I used Hi Fi eyeshadows in Low Light, Morbid Faith, and Lost and Lonely.

I have to admit-I just loved the lip color, and had to include it here. It was just the perfect glossy, shimmering warm nude for my skin tone. That’s surprisingly hard to find!

Well, bravo. You look gorgeous! Also, do you have an eyebrow tutorial? I am so confused when it comes to my brows, but yours look great.

I currently don’t. My eyebrows have been an ongoing source of frustration for me, so I’ve never really felt they were “clean” enough to justify talking about what I do to them. I’ll try to put something on basic shaping, care, and finishing together soon.
