Fairy wings

This is what happens when I put on makeup while listening to La Boheme.

Scary, innet?

My skins still pretty stressed out, since it has been a rough week, visiting sick family members, planning more shots, dealing with PILES of work drama…. I’m a bit haggard.

      Thanks. It blended out fairly well. Definitely not my favorite concept though, and I like it better now that I used stronger lips. I’ve just had the Lip Butter sitting around, waiting to be tested. It’s paler than I like for myself. I like STRONG lips.;

    I have really pale lips and feel awkward wearing light colors as well,I feel like they just wash me out and make me look like I’m sick. I think the Guava looks good on you,but I totally understand wanting to have darker lips.

      My lips have a decent amount of natural pigment to them, but the problem isn’t that they’re pale. It’s that I have fairly large features–large lips, fleshy cheeks, large nose, large eyes. Since I’m so pale that most contour colors show up AWFULLY on me, I usually overemphasize the eyes and lips, to provide a more flattering shape, without needing to overwhelm my cheeks with blush/contour. With softer makeup, or pale colors, the individual features kind of get lost in the overall effect. There’s some VERY neutral looks scattered elsewhere on the blog, and most of them look fairly bad, for just that reason.

      Thanks! It’s been so long since I applied makeup, I feel like my blending is chunky-everything looks so much smoother when I’m doing EOTDs daily.

      Things are beginning to get quieter, but it still seems like I have more to do than I have time for. Its sad not having time for the things I love.
